The Gawang Vizcayano Exhibit and Trade Fair, held from May 18-31, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol grounds, has concluded with resounding success, generating a remarkable grand total of ₱3,281,620.00 in sales. The event, a vibrant component of the 17th Grand Ammungan Festival, provided a crucial platform for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase their products and connect with a wider market.

Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito is in full support of the MSMEs, as evidenced by the minimal charge in electricity fees, further easing the operational costs for these vital businesses. This commitment from the provincial leadership underscores the importance placed on fostering a thriving business environment for local entrepreneurs.

The sales report, compiled by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office, highlights the strong performance across various sectors. The Furniture Sector emerged as the leading contributor to the overall sales, recording an impressive ₱1,767,904.00. This significant figure underscores the quality and demand for locally crafted furniture, from intricate wood carvings to functional pieces. Following closely, the Food Sector also demonstrated robust performance, with a total sales of ₱1,077,375.00. This highlights the province’s rich culinary landscape and the popularity of its local delicacies, fresh produce, and processed food items. Visitors and residents alike were drawn to the array of flavors and gastronomic delights offered by Novo Vizcayano food entrepreneurs.

The Plants Sector also contributed significantly to the fair’s success, with sales reaching ₱315,207.00. This reflects a growing interest in local flora, gardening, and sustainable living, with MSMEs offering a variety of ornamental plants, seedlings, and gardening supplies.

The Government Sector, showcasing various provincial initiatives and services, generated ₱88,098.00.

Meanwhile, the Souvenir Sector, offering unique mementos and crafts, garnered ₱33,036.00 in sales, providing attendees with tangible reminders of their visit to Nueva Vizcaya and the Ammungan Festival.

The Gawang Vizcayano Exhibit and Trade Fair not only served as a vital sales avenue for MSMEs but also as a powerful tool for market exposure and business development. The event provided a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to interact directly with consumers, gather feedback, and build brand recognition. For many participating MSMEs, this was a chance to showcase their products to a wider audience, fostering growth and encouraging further innovation.

The success of the trade fair is a testament to the strong partnership between the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya and its local entrepreneurs. By providing a dedicated space and platform for these businesses, the province continues to champion the development and sustainability of its MSME sector, which plays a crucial role in the local economy. /mvs
