The Gawang Vizcayano Exhibit and Trade Fair (GVETF) 2026 officially opened on May 18, 2026, marking another milestone in promoting local entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development in the province of Nueva Vizcaya. It will run until May 31, 2026 at the Capitol Grounds.
More than just a showcase of products, the event serves as a celebration of local stories, creativity, and shared progress among Novo Vizcayanos. Guided by the spirit of “Gayyem ti Umili,” the trade fair reflects the Provincial Government’s continuing commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs and strengthening homegrown industries.
Under the leadership of Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, with the support of Eufemia A. Dacayo, the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and Director General of the Grand Ammungan Festival, Eunice Galima-Gambol, the GVETF 2026 proudly highlights the province’s best products and talents. Featured exhibits include food products, ornamental plants, handcrafted furniture, native-inspired crafts, and products from government-assisted enterprises.
A total of 32 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from different municipalities across the province availed of booths during the fair. Each booth represents a story of perseverance, creativity, and hope, showcasing the hard work and determination of local entrepreneurs striving to uplift their livelihoods and communities. To further support participating exhibitors, the provincial government only required a minimal electrical fee as their counterpart.
The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, through the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development (PROCEDE) Office, headed by Ms. Juditte L. Asuncion, warmly invited all Novo Vizcayanos to witness and support the grand celebration. The event not only provides opportunities for local businesses to promote their products but also strengthens community partnerships and encourages support for locally made goods.
The opening ceremony culminated in the ceremonial ribbon untying at the Fountain Area of the Capitol led by provincial officials, department heads, and distinguished guests, symbolizing the formal opening of the GVETF 2026. Their presence signified strong support for every entrepreneur, every livelihood, and every dream represented in the exhibit. /mvs
