Gov Padilla stresses assistance to the marginalized

The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) held its third Flag-hoisting Ceremony on July 18, 2022, at the People’s Stage-Quadrangle, Provincial Capitol, which resumed only this month after more than two years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Also gracing the regular Monday occasion being attended by officers and staff of various PGNV and National Government Agencies were POPCOM Regional Director Herita O. Macarubbo and members of the 11th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

PSWD Officer Flordelina C. Granada, whose office hosted the early morning activity, reported on their office’s string of accomplishments and also gave due credit to their partner agencies and organizations for their invaluable contributions to the efficient and effective implementation of their socio-economic programs and services that were designed to alleviate the plight of Novo Vizcayanos, especially the PWDs and other vulnerable sectors of the province.

Governor Carlos M. Padilla who led the ceremony, spoke about the provincial government’s inclusive approach to public administration and governance, citing the need to continuously provide assistance to the province’s marginalized sectors. “They are also an important part of our clientele, and we have the mandate and responsibility to help them become self-reliant and active members of our society”, he stressed.

He also delved into the ongoing global fuel crisis that is bringing forth some budgetary and mobility issues and concerns for the PGNV, along with the remedial measures that are being put in place.

Immediately after the ceremony, the Governor, along with all the administrative officers and heads of the different PGNV departments and divisions under his Office, proceeded to the adjacent Nueva Vizcaya Convention Center for a discussion on the details of the said remedial measures.
