The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) headed by Regional Executive Director Atty. Ismael T. Manaligod, together with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office headed by Engr. Giovannie M. Magat conducted the “Permitting on Wheels” program with the theme “Serbisyong Pinabilis, Pinadali, at inilapit sa inyo ng DENR” in celebration of the Philippine Environment Month.
Held at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center on June 1, 2026, the activity began with an opening program featuring various renowned officials of the province. Governor Jose V. Gambito praised the activity, stating that it would help the public and provide them with ease, as they will not need to travel far to inquire about these services. Governor Gambito also commended DENR for its initiative and for being one of the most straightforward and clean organizations in the national government. Mayor Antonio Sergio G. Bagasao of Bayombong said that the event was not only a service caravan but also a demonstration of responsive and inclusive governance promoting environmental awareness and sustainable development in the community.
The program aims to make the primary services of DENR closer to the public through a One-Stop Shop that will provide information, consultation, and processing of different permits related to the management and protection of our environment and natural resources. With the help of this caravan, the public’s time, expenses, and the hassle of travelling to the offices of DENR will be reduced.
The different services included were land titling, tree-cutting permits, free legal consultation, MGB-area clearance, chainsaw and wildlife registration, application of certificate of tree plantation, and several services related to the management and handling of our environment and natural resources. The program also served as a platform for expanding the public’s knowledge regarding the laws, policies and environmental programs through information education campaign activities.
The activity helped numerous Novo Vizcayanos, providing them with ease and convenience, while expressing their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the provincial government. /agb
