The Provincial Assessor’s Office (PAssO) led the employees of the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) in conducting the flag hoisting ceremony held on January 30, 2023 at the People’s Stage-Quadranle, Provincial Capitol.

Also gracing the occasion were some members of the PGNV’s legislative branch, namely, BM Eufemia A. Dacayo, BM/Floor Leader Patricio F. Dumlao, Jr., BM Eunice Galima-Gambol, BM Pablo P. Kindot, BM/Presiding Officer Pro Tempore Elma Pinao-An Lejao, BM Delbert D. Tidang, Sr., and Ex officio BM/Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Samuel G. Balinhawang.

Highlighting the early morning activity, as customary, was the presentation of the accomplishments of the sponsoring office.

PAssO Chief, Engr. Jose L. Carreon, reported that for the CY2022, their office was able to serve 6,720 clients, 3,563 (or 53.02% ) of which are females, and also collect a total amount of P1,516,271.13 for their services.

He said that they have updated Approved Appraisal Assessment Transactions totaling 7,939, along with the review of resections of 231 Property Identification Maps (PIMs).

Also forming part of their program outputs were the conduct of monitoring and evaluation of the programs, projects, and activities (PAPs) of their counterpart offices in the component LGUs, and the extension of technical assistance needed by them.

For their Tax Mapping Project, Engr. Carreon said that they have digitized and completed the recording of 230 Section Maps and 200 Real Property Units (RPUs) of Brgy. Communal, Solano.

“These are all part of the office’s regular updating of records needed for policy formulation of the PGNV and related transactions of other offices, such as the Provincial Treasury, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and Registry of Deeds”, he explained.

“Our efforts, especially our submission of Quarterly Reports on Real Property Assessment (QRRPAs), through the Department of Finance’s Electronic Statement of Receipts and Expenditures (eSRE) System, in compliance with DOF Department Order No. 59-2015, were found to be commendable by the Bureau of Local Government Finance”, he gladly said.

Spicing up the formal ceremony was the dance number showcasing some of the province’s indigenous cultural communities rendered by the dance troupe of the sponsoring office.
