Joining him were his Office’s Environmental Management Specialists, Forester Genita P. Dulnuan and Forester Tracy Ann A. Martin. Also in attendance were media practitioners from the government and private sectors.

The resource persons stressed the critical role of the citizenry as a major partner of the government in addressing Climate Change problems. They also enjoined everyone to participate in the activities scheduled on November 22, 24, and 25 in line with the Province’s celebration of this year’s National Environmental Awareness Month (NEAM2022).

Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9512, dated December 12, 2008, also known as the “National Environmental Awareness and Education Act of 2008”, declared the month of November as National Environmental Awareness Month to promote awareness, especially among the youth, on the importance of protecting the environment and natural resources and the sustainable growth and development of our country.

The media practitioners vowed to also help in the implementation of the cross-cutting information drive component of the PGNV’s Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP).
