The Lady Local Legislators League of the Philippines – Nueva Vizcaya Chapter, Inc. (4LPNV) held its CY2022 General Assembly on October 20 at the Ammungan Hall, Provincial Capitol, Bayombong.

Highlighting the event was the presentation and mass oath-taking of members of the newly constituted 4LPNV Executive Board, along with the new set of Municipal Chapter Officers, administered by Governor Carlos M. Padilla, namely: PRESIDENT, Board Member Elma Pinao-an Lejao from Aritao; EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, Board Member Eunice Galima-Gambol from Solano; VICE PRESIDENT (NORTH), Solano Councilor Regina Valino-Valdez; VICE PRESIDENT (SOUTH), Dupax Del Sur Councilor Dolores A. Governor Padilla congratulated the new leaders as he also challenged them to take up the cudgels for women’s rights and welfare.

He explained that although there is only a minuscule numerical disparity between men and women in the country’s population, there are indeed unequal structures and practices in many sectors of our society that produce substantive inequalities and perpetuate discrimination against women, especially the marginalized.

He said that during his more than 29 years of service in the realm of national legislation, he was also one among those who ardently supported measures and mechanisms that advance solutions to gender and development issues and concerns.

4LPNV President Lejao vowed “to serve with utmost dedication in bringing about unity, cooperation, and dynamism in the organization as it pursues collaborative programs, projects, and activities for women that will help empower them more, and promote equal opportunities and access to available resources and development results and outcomes”.

Culminating the day’s event was the 4LPNV-sponsored bloodletting activity at the Provincial Capitol Office of the Philippine Red Cross.
