APEX Holds First Meeting, Sets Oathtaking and Key Plans for 2026

The Association of Provincial Executives (APEX) convened its first official meeting today, March 12, 2026, to discuss major organizational matters and lay the groundwork for its activities for the year. The meeting focused on strengthening the association’s governance structure, financial sustainability, and participation in major provincial events.

The meeting was presided over by Edgardo Sabado, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator of Nueva Vizcaya and President of the Association, who led the discussions and guided members through the agenda.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the confirmation of the oathtaking ceremony of newly elected APEX officers, scheduled on March 16, 2026. The ceremony will be solemnized by Jose V. Gambito, Provincial Governor of Nueva Vizcaya, marking the formal assumption of office of the association’s leadership.

Members present also deliberated on the supposed provisions of the association’s Constitution and By-Laws, which will be incorporated once the framework for the association’s governance, roles, and operational procedures is established and formulated. The document is expected to strengthen coordination among provincial executives and clarify the association’s organizational structure.

In line with ensuring the sustainability of the organization, the body agreed to implement a quarterly financial contribution from members, effective the second quarter of 2026. The contribution aims to support the association’s programs, operational activities, and collaborative initiatives throughout the year.

The association likewise discussed its participation in the upcoming Grand Ammungan Festival, one of the province’s most significant cultural celebrations. Members expressed support for APEX’s active involvement in the event, recognizing its importance in promoting unity, heritage, and community engagement across the province.

Finally, the meeting included a presentation on the current financial status of the association, providing members with transparency on available resources and expenditures while informing planning for upcoming activities.

Through the meeting, APEX leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration among provincial offices and supporting the development initiatives of the provincial government.

The organization expressed optimism that with clear governance mechanisms, active member participation, and strong leadership, APEX will continue to play a vital role in promoting coordination and effective public service within the provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya. /joc
