Capitol CDC celebrates nutrition month
The Capitol Child Development Center (CCDC) conducted a fun run and zumba in observance with the Nutrition Month celebration last July 26 at the Capitol compound.
This year’s Nutrition month celebration is themed “Kumain ng wasto at maging aktibo, Push natin ‘to!” aims to promote healthy diets, increased physical activity to reduce sedentary behavior among children and adult, encourage the food industry to provide healthier food options and advocate for the enactment of local policies at the workplace and in schools.
Prior to the activity, the CCDC also conducted a fruit salad making and burger assembling activities participated by the pre-school children enrolled at the CCDC.
Presidential Decree 491 in 1974 declares every July of every year as Nutrition month to create greater awareness and importance among Filipino people while mandating the NNC to lead the national campaign.
Approximately 80 preschool children from CCDC participated in the three-day nutrition month activities. #cqc
