Galima bids farewell
A week before his term ends, Vice Governor Epifanio LD Galima Jr. delivers his message to the officials and employees of the provincial government on June 24, during the flag-raising ceremony at the People’s Stage, Capitol.
“This is a nice occasion to say goodbye to public service for the meantime because not so long from now, there will be some more efforts to be done. We have been dedicated in doing public service works since the time I can no longer remember,” Galima said.
Galima had been the Municipal Mayor of Solano for so many years until he became the Provincial Administrator, Senior Board Member and Vice Governor of the province.
Galima said goodbye not to bid farewell to public service, but to look into the other aspects of life. Galima would be practicing his profession as a lawyer and become part again of the business left by his parents in Solano. Earlier during the Grand Ammngan Festival last month, Galima also expressed his gratitude to the people for giving him the chance to serve at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP).
“We are always at the service of the people. I do not know how we will able to live without giving service to the people. Everything we do in life should be dedicated to the service of our people. There are so many things to be done, but time cannot allow us,” Galima said.
During Galima’s tenure as Vice Governor, the SP passed resolutions and ordinances in accordance with the “Prayers N Faith” agenda of the Padilla administration and gave emphasis on the development of the agricultural sector. There are still unfinished businesses in the Sanggunian and the SP is trying to finalize its legislation for the remaining days of their term.
“Thank you so much for the service. Happy working years ahead, as I work beside you in private life,” Galima said. #bg
