PDC holds first meeting for 2019
The Provincial Development Council (PDC), headed by Governor Carlos M. Padilla, conducted its first regular meeting for 2019 at the conference room of the NV Pasalubong Center, Bayombong recently.
The Sectoral Committees of the PDC presented its resolutions for the approval of the Council on the 2019 3rd Supplemental Annual Investment Plan (SAIP) and constituting amendments as recommended.
For the Economic Development Committee, it was emphasized that there is a need to act first on the updating of the PCIP 2017-2022 which reflects Farm to Market Roads (FTMR), supporting tomato and coffee production before its inclusion to the SAIP for potential funding for 2019. It was also mentioned that the deadline for the submission of a complete proposal for FTMR to the Department of Agriculture (DA) is on June 2019.
Engr. Manolo Norial, Chairperson of the Infrastructure Committee, endorsed to the PDC the list of infrastructure programs, projects, and activities to be incorporated in the 3rd 2019 SAIP for approval. An “on floor” proposal was presented by Forester Tito Tanguilig, Chairperson of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Committee, which is the construction of series of siltation ponds and garbage trap for the Capisaan Caves System in Capisaan, Kasibu.
During the meeting, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Matrices and Indicators were also presented for the Council’s adoption and information. The Comprehensive Development Plan – Technical Assistance Committee also sought authorization for the Governor to approve the CDP of municipalities and council approval on the revised technical assessment process of comprehensive development plans. The output of the Place Branding Project of the province was also presented to the Council for approval. #bg
