COA and PGNV Conduct eNGAS-eBS Training
The Commission on Audit (COA) and Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), headed by Governor Carlos M. Padilla, jointly conducted a Training on the COA-developed enhanced Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS) and Electronic Budget System (eBS) from 11 to 15 March at the Nueva Vizcaya Pasalubong Center (NVLPC) in Magsaysay, Bayombong.
The COA is the country’s lead agency in maintaining and rolling out these two (2) information systems that have already evolved as standard financial management tools for national government line agencies and local governments, including GOCCs and GFIs.
Composing the team of trainers were technical staff from the Government Accountancy Sector – Accounting Systems Development and Other Services Office (GAS-ASDOSO) of the Commission on Audit (COA) Central Office, namely, Michelle M. Gagarra (Team Leader), Shekinah Roebec M. Osorio, Kayla Mae B. Servigon, Jenica B. Edoria and Lev Justin E. Sadayan.
This month’s capability-building activity for local government accounting, budgeting, treasury and other concerned personnel is a follow-up training intended for those who were not able to join last year’s training.
Kasibu rejoined anew in view of the demise of its municipal accountant just about a month after the first batch training in August 2018, while Santa Fe declined invitations to participate in both batches since it had subscribed to an electronic accounting system that was developed by a private ICT company. #jlc
