NV recognizes agricultural achievers
The Provincial Agricultural Office (PAO), headed by Provincial Agriculturist Alexander Domingo, conducted the Provincial Agricultural Achievers Awards in recognition to the distinguished efforts of the farmers and fisherfolk of the province on November 7 at the NV Convention Center.
Individual Outstanding Awards were given to Taning Nileng of Balangabang, Kayapa for Organic Farming; Ronnie Garcia of Maddiangat, Quezon for Rice Farming (adopting the Integrated Farming System); Reynaldo Paner of Baresbes, Quezon for Corn Farming; Bill Joe Be-Ilan of Tubungan, Kayapa as Young Farmer; Leticia Damit-og and Macario Renon of Duruarog, Diadi for Agricultural Rural Women Achiever and High Value Commercial Crops Farming, respectively; and the family of Alfonso Namujhe Jr. of Malabing, Kasibu as Outstanding Farm Family.
Outstanding Organizations cited were MJs Food Products in Poblacion, Santa Fe for Agri-Entrepreneur/Processor; St. Joseph Parish MPCI of Belance, Dupax del Norte for Small Farmer/Fisherfolk Organization; Bagahabag 4-H Club of Solano for Young Farmer Organization; the BLGU of Ineangan, Dupax del Norte for Barangay Food Terminal; Tubungan Women’s Association of Kayapa as Outstanding Organic Organization; and the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) of Upper Cordon, Kasibu received the Outstanding RIC.
Present during the awarding were Governor Carlos M. Padilla, Vice Governor Epifanio LD. Galima Jr., Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Christopher Seraspi, Dominador Abalos – Consultant to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Arturo Baybayan – Chairman of Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Council, Charles Fernandez of Nueva Vizcaya Experimental Station (NVES), PAO officials and staff, and other partners in agricultural programs. #bg
