DFA now offers 10 year valid passports

By on January 10, 2018

Starting January 1, this year, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will now issue passports with 10-year validity.

It was after President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed Republic Act 10928 on August 2 last year.

Meanwhile, the Department Order 010-2017, signed by DFA Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano on October 25 said passports with 10-year validity period will be issued only for those applying for the first time or for those applying for replacement or renewal.

And passports that will be issued to minors will only be valid for 5 years. They are the Filipinos that are under 18 years of age at the time of application.
The new Philippine passport has no price increase in the meantime and it will still cost P950. #mccd
