Governor Carlos M. Padilla and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) led the distribution of cash assistance through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-clip) to 12 Militia ng Bayan surenderees in Ambaguio last January 17, 2020.
Militia ng Bayan are individuals that may or may not be directly involved in violent armed struggle but provides support to regular members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in order for the organization to thrive.
The E-CLIP is one of the flagship programs of President Rodrigo R. Duterte that provides social equity to former members in order to reintegrate them to mainstream society to address social healing.
It also provide benefits based on the particular need of the surenderees and their families which include financial assistance, shelter, education, skills training health care, legal assistance in cooperation with national and local government agencies.
The 12 Militia ng Bayan surenderees received P15, 000 each. #krizel
