The Nueva Vizcaya Got Talent (NVGT) semifinals was conducted on May 2, 2026 at the CMP, Convention Center, Capitol, Bayombong. This event is one of the pre-activities of the Grand Ammungan Festival 2026.
Director General Eunice Galima-Gambol expressed her warm greetings to everyone and to the Governor who supported the comeback of the event. BM Gambol, who was the NVGT Chair in 2015, brought back the NVGT 2026 to once again highlight the skills and talents of every Novo Vizcayanos, bringing pride to the province of Nueva Vizcaya.
Board Member Emerlene Jane Galanta-Martinez, Chairperson of NVGT 2026, expressed her gratitude to the executive committee for including the NVGT event in the compressed 1-day Ammungan. She emphasized that the talent of every Novo Vizcayano is a treasure that should be proudly showcased.
The board of judges is composed of: Harren Jessie Baña, a freelance singer, event host and coordinator. Baña is also the voice of Nueva Vizcaya 2017 grand winner; Raychard Viner Matias, National Executive Officer, National Commision for Culture and the Arts-National Committee on Cultural Education. Matias is also a Professor IV and Vice President for Administration in PLT College, Inc.; Chester Cortez, a lead vocalist of Spell Juan, talent scout, voice coach and a librarian; Aedam Roy Elizaga, Tourism Operations Assistant of the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office (PTCO), dancer and event organizer; Lionel Luis Dumelod, an educator, musician and champion of Arts and Culture; Dexter Agpalo Rubio, Municipal Tourism Officer-Designee of Cordon, Isabela, dancer, choreographer, singer and event organizer. The Judges ensured fairness and carefully evaluated each performance based on the criteria such as mastery, difficulty level, originality of the act, creativity, neatness, aliw factor and audience impact.
22 semifinalists competed to showcased their talents for a spot in the grand finals. They demonstrated various skills in singing, dancing and even playing musical instruments. Top 10 semi-finalists were selected to advance in the NVGT final showdown on May 21, 2026 at the CMP Convention Center.
The finalists are 103AJ, Circles, Big 4, Roselle Moya, Mindscape, Blessie Tiken, The Generals, Michael Angelo Mendoza, Outrow, and Normalin. /ctu
