Gov Padilla orders temporary Capitol lockdown

Governor Carlos M. Padilla through Special Order No. GA 155-2021 ordered the temporary closure of the Capitol compound from April 5 to 8, 2021 due to the rising cases of Covid 19 infection of several employees of the Provincial Government.

The order was based on the recommendation of the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO) in order to contain further transmission of the virus to employees, families, and clients.As such provincial and national government offices within the capitol compound have temporarily closed their doors to clients.

Exempted from this order are the offices of the PIHO, Provincial Jail, Security Division of the Provincial General Services Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine Red Cross, which will operate on skeletal or shifting work schedules.

The Provincial Assessment Office and the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office were also ordered not to operate from April 5 to 8.

All types of recreational activities within the capitol compound shall likewise be prohibited until April 11, 2021.#lag
