NVPPO-OIC Lubos reports at tri-council meeting

Governor Carlos M. Padilla, who presided over the 3rd quarter of CY2022 joint meeting of the PPOC, PADAC, and PTFELCAC held on September 09, 2022 at the Ammungan Hall, Provincial Capitol, acknowledged and welcomed PCol. Dante A. Lubos, the newly designated Officer-in-Charge of the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office (NVPPO).

PCol. Lubos personally presented to the tri-council updates on the peace and order situation in the province, his first public engagement as head of the Nueva Vizcaya police force following his courtesy call on Governor Padilla two (2) days earlier.

Based on his report, for the three-month period ended August 31, 2022, the province has registered a total of 373 crime incidents (CIs), i.e., 168 for Peace and Order, and 205 for Public Safety, reflecting a decrease of 215 or 36.56% compared to the same period last year.

Bayombong’s 97 CIs were the highest, followed by Aritao’s 59, and Santa Fe’s 56. Ambaguio had nil. Nevertheless, all municipalities registered a decrease in CIs, except for Villaverde, Santa Fe, and Kayapa.

With its 302 CIs solved and 365 CIs cleared, the province obtained ratings of 80.97% and 97.86% for Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) and Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE), respectively.

He also reported on their sustained campaigns against Loose Firearms (R.A. No. 10591), Illegal Gambling (R.A. No. 9287), Illegal Logging (P.D. No. 705), and Wanted Persons, along with their enforcement of ordinances, and collaborative undertakings with the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), DILG, and NDRRMC, among others. 

Prior to his designation as NVPPO-OIC, PCol. Lubos, who hails from La Trinidad, Benguet, was the Chief of the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division (RLDDD) of the Police Regional Office – 02, Camp Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, said PSSG Sixto A. Wakit.

He replaced NVPPO Provincial Director PCol. Ranser A. Evasco who was assigned as Chief of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera, Camp Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.

PCol Evasco, a native of Atok, Benguet, headed the NVPPO from October 23, 2020 to September 01, 2022.
