PGNV Health care providers refine Manual of Operations

The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), through the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO), convened Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO) leaders, Municipal Health Officers (MHOs), Chiefs of Hospital (COH), Public Health Nurses, and other health care providers with the aim of refining the Health Care Provider Networks’ Manual of Operations. The Manual of Operations writeshop was held on June 22-24, 2022 at the Hotel Supreme in Baguio City.

The said Manual will serve as a guide in setting up and managing health care provider networks as a result of the devolution of certain national health services to local governments. Specifically, it will provide health workers of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya with a common framework to effectively operate the health referral system, ensuring the continuing provision of quality care by combining the capacities of individual health service delivery points into a unified delivery system.

This also ensures the provision of sustained quality services that are accessible, appropriate, affordable, and equitable through dedicated, committed, effective, and efficient health service providers.

“As a participant and member of the policy committee, I am proud to be a part of this endeavor toward seamlessly providing health care for the Novo Vizcayanos that also further strengthens the province’s health system in pursuit of the vision of the Universal Health Care Law”, Administrative Officer III Sharon G. Perez of the Lt. Tidang Memorial Hospital gladly said.

According to her, the provincial health care providers must work to contextualize the benefits of integrated provincewide health systems and health care provider networks and to rally support from the people and service providers within their respective jurisdictions. #mvs
