Infra and Tourism activities suspended
Chief of Operations Department Police Superintendent Joseph Dela Cruz of the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office (NVPPO), advised to temporarily stop road and infrastructure construction and tourism operations in Kasibu after an unfaithful encounter of the Philippine Army and New People’s Army last September 1.
“It is better to suspend construction and tourism operations in the area so that we can contain the situation in Kasibu and prevent further casualties,” said Dela Cruz.
Early morning of September 1, the Philippine Army had an encounter with about 150 members of the New People’s Army that took four lives of four brave members of the Philippine Army.
There were no reported casualty on the side of the New People’s Army, but the Philippine Army in cooperation with the NVPPO, government agencies and non-government agencies are in pursuit to secure the province and assist in the recovery of the victims. #krizel
