By on March 25, 2015

A total of 12 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted including seven buy bust operations and one raid of marijuana plantation resulting to the arrest of 12 drug dealers and users with an amount of P 168, 879.48 illegal drugs confiscated from the suspects from January to February alone, said OIC Provincial Director John D. Luglug during the recent Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) meeting.

Due to the rampant peddling and using of illegal drugs in the province, Governor Ruth R. Padilla suggested to the council a random drug testing among schools in the province.

“Kapag nagkaroon ng random drug testing, unahin ang bayan ng Bambang at Solano,” said Governor Padilla expressing her intention to conduct a drug testing.

“Hindi man sila mawala, e mabawasan pakonti-konti,” Governor Padilla added. Governor Padilla also suggested reactivating the barangay anti-drug abuse council (BDAC) and to pass a resolution to organize a peace and drug prevention summit in the province. # k r i z e l
